L’adjectif
« tout »
1) Tout –
masc. Sing.noun – tout le livre (the whole book)
2) Toute –
fem. Sing.noun – toute la famille (the whole family)

fem. Plural – toutes les classes (all the classes)
Note that the first two are used for the whole thing but a
singular one, third and fourth are used for plural nouns.
