THE UNICORN

 THE UNICORN

2. Answer the following questions in 30-40 words.

a) A long time ago when the earth was in its nascent stage there were more kinds of animals than we are able to see today. They ran around freely. The loveliest animal was the Unicorn.

b) Noah obeyed God by building the Ark. He finished it just as the rain started falling. He marched the animals two by two into Ark. He called out their names to God as they went through.

c) Green alligators, long-necked geese, humpty-backed camels, chimpanzees, cats, rats, and elephants were sheltering in the Ark. Noah had to close the doors because it was pouring so he could not wait for the Unicorns.

d) When the Ark started drifting with the tide, the Unicorns looked up from the rock they were playing on and cried. But the waters came down and floated them away.

3. Answer the following questions in 100-120 words.

a) In the beginning, the earth was green and full of animals. The Unicorn was more beautiful than any other animal. While God was making the Earth, the animals ran around free. But God saw that everyone was sinning all the time, so he decided to flood the Earth. Noah was called upon by God, and God told him to build an ark, and put two animals of each kind on it.

b) Just as the rain began to fall, Noah finished the ark, and marched in the animals two by two, and called to God counting them off. The only animals he didn't see were the unicorns. As Noah looked out into the misty morn, he saw the unicorns kicking and splashing around, so he had to leave without them. The ark sailed off, the unicorns floated away, and that's why we never see a unicorn to this day.

c) When the man approached Shree at the railway station, Athhai quickly came with the stationmaster and hit him with her handbag. Then she threatened him not to come near her niece.

d) A cyber-crime police officer checked the data in Shree’s computer. Within hours, the police found the man who had pretended to be Chaitra. They also found that he had been trying to befriend many young girls and boys through social media.

3. Answer the following questions in 100-120 words.

a) The man befriended Shree as Chaitra on FriendsNet. He used the film actress, Madhoo’s old photograph to pretend that he was the same age as Shree. He told her that he studied in a school near hers. He asked her to send him a selfie and her phone number. When he realised that Shree did not have a camera phone, he used that opportunity to trick Shree into meeting him by telling her that he would give her his old camera phone. When Shree complimented on the earrings on his profile picture and asked him to wear them the next day, he agreed only if she would come alone to the railway station.

b) Chaitra told Shree that she studied in the school close to Shree’s school. But when Shree looked around for a school near her school, she didn’t find any other school. Moreover, when Athhai looked at Chaitra’s profile picture, she told Shree that the picture was of the actress Madhoo when she was in school. When Shree asked Chaitra her age, she lied to her and said that she was thirteen. That’s when Shree wondered if Chaitra was using somebody else’s picture. To find out if Chaitra was lying, Shree confided in Athhai who helped her make a secret plan to find out if Chaitra was honest or not.
